Hello Everyone:
Well we are gearing up for what looks to be a promising 2010.The recording for the new c.d. is still in process and the group has started to test audiences reactions to the new songs by including some of the newer material in the live act.So far so good.I will be adding a few more songs on the Studio 3 area of the website so those of you who cannot see us live can get a feel for where we are heading in relation to the music.I hope all is well with you all and may 2010 bring you whatever it is you are seeking in life.
Peace and Keep the faith.
Jim Clarke.

hello dear readers:
just a wee note on updating you all as to the progression of the new cd.It's a slow process, deciding which songs make the final cut.So far,we have narrowed it down to 15..yes folks 15 new songs. It's funny how sometimes ..todays masterpiece ends up on top of tomorrows scrapheap, this they say is progress..ah well..onwards and upwards. We will be introducing a new feature to the website shortly..namely,STUDIO 3.This will let you all hear selected songs as they make their way from their initial conception ..through the recording process and finally on disc. Some songs may radically change from day to day and some may remain as they were initially envisioned. The creation of a song, for me ,makes it all worthwhile..all the pent up emotions, inner turmoil or enlightenment. They all come to the fore somewhere along the way as the song finds it's legs so to speak.I warn you, that those of you who are used to hearing finished polished product may want to overlook STUDIO 3..but,this is the reality behind the frontal facade..the meat and potatos of the songwriting process..

Hello Dear Readers:
I've been asked "why is the group not playing more"..and the answer is that we are currently in the midst of arranging a fall touring schedule..The months of July and August will see us back in the studio recording.I have a backlog of songs that need to "see the light of day".Late 2009 and beyond will be busy for us,performance wise..so in the meantime we will be writing, rehearsing and recording.I want to thank those who are interested in the groups progression, all I can say is dont worry..the wait will be worth it .
keep the faith

Hello..one and all and welcome to the new wesite. The name GRANNY'S APPLES..is a reference to my Granny Maggie.Who as I recall as a child growing up in Belfast, would make candy apples and sell them. The sweet aroma emmanting from "the scullery" as she was blending the apples with the boiled brown sugar has remained in my consciousness ever since.Maggie has passed on since..but the memory of her lip licking candy apples will forever remain one of my earliest and fondest memories.
